Located at the mouth of the Gomti River, Dwarka faces the Arabian Sea and is part of the Saurashtra region. The city experiences a hot semi-arid climate, with an average annual rainfall of approximately 490 mm, primarily during the monsoon months of June to September.

As per the 2011 Census, Dwarka had a population of approximately 38,873 residents. The city has an average literacy rate of 75.94%, with male literacy at 83% and female literacy at 68.27%.
